Press release summary
Aiforia said Oct. 8 that its digital-pathology artificial intelligence applications will be offered to laboratories through the PathAI AISight Marketplace under a new commercial agreement.
The arrangement is intended to place Aiforiaโs image-analysis models inside the AISight Dx image-management environment used for pathology case review. PathAI, now part of Roche, said the marketplace provides a common channel for algorithms covering biomarker quantification, tissue classification and diagnostic decision support, with contracting, billing and technical support handled through the platform.
Aiforia brings a portfolio of CE-IVD-marked pathology applications and an established presence in Europe, while PathAI contributes its installed image-management base and U.S. market presence. The release did not identify which Aiforia applications will be available first, provide a deployment schedule or announce new U.S. regulatory clearances.
For pathology laboratories, the agreement may reduce the technical and procurement work required to add validated image-analysis tools to an existing digital workflow. Laboratories will still need to confirm each applicationโs regulatory status, intended use, scanner compatibility, validation requirements and integration with local laboratory and hospital information systems.
